I just watched Clerks II last night. I wasn't really gung ho about seeing it, being as Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was supposedly the last of that line of Kevin Smith movies, and I hated it because it was a total sellout. But Clerks II made its way to our house, so I watched it.
Dear God, that was a hilarious and wrong movie. Of course anything with Jason Mewes is going to be obscenely wrong... but this was over the top. In a good way. It had that random humor that I love so much. The funny scenes weren't just funny, they were pushed that extra inch over the line. Like Jay's recreation of the Silence of the Lambs "Goodbye Horses" scene... Or Elias' "Pillowpants" explanation.
Everyone go out and watch this movie. Unless you are easily offended. Even then, lighten up and watch it. Give it to someone for Christmas. (Not your grandma.)
